Today we’re excited to announce the first step of our mainnet journey: Plume Alpha. This is the first phase of our mainnet journey, and this step is a measured onboarding of projects, partners, and capital, designed to be the first step of releasing Plume’s mainnet to the public. Plume Alpha ensures that when Plume opens to the public, we release with deep liquidity, well-tested infrastructure, and a thriving ecosystem of dApps and experiences.
Our guiding belief is that RWAs shouldn’t feel like onchain TradFi – they should just feel like crypto. We’re designing products to grow the onchain economy, so it’s only natural that our products look and feel like crypto. You should be able to easily swap, stake, lend, borrow, and speculate with RWAs just as easily as you do with crypto-native assets. Before you couldn’t. With Plume now you can.
This week, we’ll begin onboarding capital, infrastructure, and launch partners, before opening up mainnet access to users once the network has built up a solid foundation and economic security to support our RWAfi ecosystem.
You should be able to easily swap, stake, lend, borrow, and speculate with RWAs just as easily as you do with crypto native assets. Before you couldn’t.

MAINNET PHASES: A PURPOSEFUL ROLLOUT
New ecosystems take time to build. New concepts, new products, and new use cases require time to marinate, so we’re launching our products in deliberate phases. Each phase will introduce a new constellation of projects, assets, and use cases that will expand the onchain RWA ecosystem.
Plume Alpha is the first phase. This phase is focused on solidifying the foundation of our mainnet and key ecosystem projects so that we can appropriately scale the ecosystem for now and into the future. In more detail, this phase will be focused on:
- A holistic ecosystem: Onboarding ecosystem projects, infrastructure partners, and liquidity to power the ecosystem
- Battle tested applications: Providing a secure environment for partners to integrate and finalize their applications
- Performance monitoring: Launching our bug bounty program and closely monitor system performance
- Network efficiency: Ensuring the network is robust & performant before opening to the broader community
Phase 1: Plume Alpha
Plume Alpha is the foundational stage to prepare Plume mainnet for public use. This is a controlled phase where we are deploying capital and running through comprehensive testing of the ecosystem to ensure a seamless user experience at launch. The focus here is on ecosystem readiness. No retail users will have access to Plume applications at this stage, and no incentives will be live. This is a critical step to building a resilient and liquid ecosystem from day one.
The initial composition of our ecosystem is focused on core RWAfi. We are onboarding blue chip assets with robust yields from leading companies in both crypto and the real world including Superstate, Invesco, Blackstone, Anemoy, M^0, and many more into our flagship RWAfi protocol, Nest. On public launch, users will be able to easily and permissionlessly stake their stables and earn RWA yields. In tandem, they can take those RWA tokens and utilize them across the RWAfi ecosystem with both new native Plume dApps and blue chip DeFi protocols that you already know and love (more to come on this soon!).
High-quality RWA assets are difficult to access not only onchain, but also offchain in the real world. Now with Plume, anyone, no matter where they are, can get access to some of the best products in the world with just a few clicks. More than just buying & holding these assets, by bringing them onchain you can make use of these assets in a crypto native way – loop, swap, lend, and borrow RWAs in a way that can only be done on Plume today.
As a reminder, during Plume Alpha:
- This phase is geared solely for setting up a foundation for a thriving ecosystem
- There will be no retail usage of the dApps and mainnet as a whole
- No incentives & rewards are being accumulated during this time
Phase 2: Plume Genesis
As soon as the foundation to our ecosystem is established with solid applications, sufficient liquidity, and a performant network , we will proceed to phase 2 – Plume Genesis.
Plume turns the real world into tokens. By turning RWAs into tokens, we not only change how people can access these products but we fundamentally change the nature of the assets themselves, we fundamentally change what these assets are. They’re no longer static assets sitting in stasis in the real world. They’re now code – which means they can be changed, upgraded, moved, combined, modified, etc in ways that they couldn’t before.
And more importantly – when the real world becomes tokens, the line between the real world and crypto disappears. This is the real draw of tokenization. Permissionless innovation in crypto has made it easy for anyone in the world with nothing more than an internet connection to build products that have reshaped the world – from DeFi, to stablecoins, memecoins, and countless others. We couldn’t be more excited to see the same innovation applied to real world assets and for people to reimagine and create new products that have never been imagined before.
Plume Genesis will start with:
- A robust ecosystem of dApps and RWA projects spanning all kinds of assets from financial instruments backed by the largest institutions in the world, to alternative assets like GPUs, rare earth metals (gold, silver), tokenized equities, private credit, music/film IP rights, late stage private shares in AI, robotics, and much more
- Plume-native RWAfi and blue-chip DeFi applications that let you easily stake your stables for real yield, swap in and out of different assets, loop with and optimize your real world yields
- Curated RWAfi markets across institutional grade and alternative assets with deep liquidity in various liquidity pools and lending markets

We built the Plume Portal to make it easy for anyone to interact with our ecosystem however they want to. The Portal will be the home for all of our users, whether you are a day one Goon or a Goon new to the flock. You’ll be able to keep track of your rewards, learn about new dApps, find our core primitives like DEXs and bridges, and stay up-to-date with the latest at Plume.
We’ll be sharing more about the Portal as we get closer to Plume Genesis, but wanted to share a few quick highlights. There are multiple ways to interact with Plume and you’ll find them all housed within the Portal.
For those that want a more hands-off approach, we’ve built the Optimizer, a simple vault that will automatically manage your portfolio and assets. It will deliberately allocate into the best RWA vaults for high-quality risk-adjusted yields, and also leverage features like auto-looping to make sure that you are getting the most utility out of your assets.
For those that want to be more hands-on but still have a guided approach, you can visit the Learn section. In here are various guides to help you navigate the Plume ecosystem and best experience RWAfi. These guides will change and be updated on a regular basis, so this section will be a great way to stay on top of what there is to do in the Plume ecosystem.
For those that want to just dive right in, the directory will let you see and filter through the whole ecosystem with no restraints.
Our network token, PLUME, will be the core gas token on our network. But the token will also be much more. Beyond classic use cases like governance and staking, PLUME's utility will continue to expand as our ecosystem grows. From being a core part of asset issuance, real world data, liquidity, and validation, PLUME is the cornerstone of building a decentralized RWAfi ecosystem. We’re working on a number of new exciting initiatives that we will share in the upcoming months, the first of which is staking. Upon Plume Genesis, you will be able to stake your PLUME to provide network security and begin earning PLUME rewards. More on this soon.

PRE-DEPOSITS
For the many Goons who participated in our various pre-deposit campaigns, we thank you and are grateful for your support. We opened our Nest pre-deposit campaign in December 2024 and saw over 20,000 users deposit funds. This helped provide a solid foundation for the Plume ecosystem and kickstarted our liquidity journey.
As mentioned during the Nest pre-deposit campaigns, for users who have kept their funds in the vaults, your funds will be automatically migrated over to the nALPHA (formerly known as nRWA) vault on Plume’s Mainnet 48 hours before Plume Genesis commences. This process is automated so that there is no further user action required.
As we get closer to Plume Genesis, we’ll share more details on the predeposit migration so the community is kept up to date, well informed, and will be able to easily follow along. For now there is nothing to do!

Who has access to Plume Alpha?
Currently, projects, infrastructure partners, and liquidity partners are deploying on Plume Mainnet. While they are setting the foundation for Mainnet, no incentives, points, or rewards are active yet.
Why is Plume Alpha access restricted right now?
Plume Alpha access is currently limited to ensure sufficient early-stage liquidity and robust integrations with our key partners. This effectively solves the ‘cold start problem’. This approach will help guarantee a smooth, secure, and engaging experience once Mainnet fully opens to the public.
How long is Plume Alpha going to last?
The team is actively working to get everything online as fast as possible for the Plume Genesis.
Will I be able to claim my S1 airdrop allocation during Plume Alpha?
More information about the S1 Airdrop deferred awards will be made available soon. The program to claim those rewards will begin after Plume Genesis commences.
What can I expect during Plume Genesis?
Plume Genesis is Phase 2 of our mainnet rollout and the public phase. It’s designed to unlock the full potential of RWAfi. Here’s what you can expect:

How will $PLUME token migration work? Will this be automatic, or will we need to do something to move our $PLUME tokens to the Plume Mainnet?
Currently, your $PLUME tokens are on Ethereum. To migrate them onto the Plume Mainnet, you’ll need to use one of our supported bridges. Bridging your tokens is essential because $PLUME serves as the gas token for all transactions on our network. Once bridged, you’ll be able to access unique opportunities exclusively available on Plume Mainnet. You’re free to leave your tokens on Ethereum Mainnet, but migrating them will maximize the benefits and utility of your holdings.
Will all countries be able to partake in the Plume Portal?
Participation in the Plume Portal will follow the same country-based eligibility guidelines we applied during our testnet and Season 1. It will exclude the US and OFAC-sanctioned countries in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
What are some $PLUME token utilities?
Post-mainnet, $PLUME tokens will unlock multiple core utilities, including:
- Gas Token: $PLUME serves as the primary gas token, powering all transactions within the Plume ecosystem.
- Staking Opportunities: Users may potentially stake $PLUME tokens, earning rewards linked to network validators and secure the blockchain (stay tuned for later announcements regarding staking specifics).
- Composability & Ecosystem Utility: Our goal is for $PLUME and other Plume-branded tokens to become highly composable, with diverse and continually expanding use cases within the ecosystem.
- Governance: Later on when this goes live, you can participate in decision-making and help shape the future direction of the Plume ecosystem through community governance.
What happens to previous Plume Goon NFTs from prior testnets? Do they retain value or functionality?
The Plume Goons NFT were initially created as a special thank-you gift to our community members who participated in the testnet. While they don’t currently have any inherent utility or direct monetary value, we’re exploring potential plans and future opportunities to integrate these NFTs more into our ecosystem.
