We’re excited to finally announce the arrival of our mainnet, Plume Genesis, launching on June 5th, 2025. We couldn’t be more excited to usher in the next phase of crypto and bring RWAfi to life.
We started Plume with a very simple idea: life is better onchain.
When we started Plume, we felt limited by what was possible onchain. This inspired us to expand the onchain economy by introducing crypto-native RWAs. New assets, new users, new geographies, and new use cases.
Fast forward to today, our team has been tirelessly working to bring this vision to life in tandem with hundreds of protocols, asset issuers, capital providers, users, curators, underwriters, and more to bootstrap this ecosystem from the ground up.
The time is now. Onchain users are seeking diversified yield opportunities beyond traditional crypto assets. RWA markets are hitting new all-time highs. The world's largest institutions are moving rapidly onchain. Regulators globally are embracing tokenization. The stars have aligned to bring in an RWA revolution.
But we’re still early.
The entire onchain economy is worth just over $3 trillion today. Blackrock alone manages $12 trillion. The global RWA sector? Thousands of trillions.
We’ve barely scratched the surface. According to a new report from Security Token Market, asset tokenization is forecasted at $30 trillion by 2030, led by stocks, real estate, bonds, and gold. We’re still only at ~$20B in onchain RWAs today. To unlock the next phase of RWA growth, we need to focus on utility. We need to focus on RWAfi.
That’s why we built Plume. Tokenizing assets is easy. Making them useful is not.
We started as a simple tokenization engine that could issue assets onto any chain. But we quickly realized tokenization alone wasn't enough. We needed an entire ecosystem purpose-built for onchain RWAs to actually work.
Today, Plume is a full-stack RWA ecosystem. We've combined tokenization, a customized EVM chain, capital, community, and a robust partner network into a single integrated platform where RWAs can gain real utility onchain and distribution.
And the proof is in the pudding – even pre-launch, Plume is already the second largest chain by number of RWA holders, second only to Ethereum. Our approach is already bearing fruit and we haven’t even begun.
Plume Genesis
Genesis is the first phase of not only bringing the Plume ecosystem to life, but finally bringing RWAfi to crypto.
New things take time. We’re rolling out our ecosystem progressively, introducing new capabilities in waves to let users properly understand and adopt crypto-native RWAs.
Despite the hype, the RWA story remains widely misunderstood. That's why we're releasing new dApps, use cases, and partners in phases – allowing people to learn and explore RWAfi at their own pace.
The initial phase of Plume Genesis is geared around core RWAfi. We’ve always said that when RWAs are done right, they cease to be RWAs – they just become crypto. You should be able to easily stake, swap, borrow, lend, loop, collateralize, using RWAs just as you normally do with crypto-native assets. With just a few clicks, you should be able to stake your stables and begin to earn real yield from the best real yield sources in the world. You should be able to take those assets and loop them for increased yield, or borrow against them to allocate into other assets. Or you should be able to use them as collateral, so you can take out a 50x leverage long on your altcoin positions while you’re still earning the best real yields.
On Plume, you can use RWAs just as you would any crypto native asset – the only difference is that these assets are designed to bring in stable, consistent real yield from the real world onchain, every single day.
At launch, we’ll have 50+ dApps including blue chip protocols like Morpho, Curve, RWAfi native protocols like Rooster, Mystic, and many more that we can’t wait for people to use.
Our starting selection of assets includes everything from traditional financial products by Apollo, Blackstone, Carlyle, Pimco, Invesco, Simplify, and Paxos, to more esoteric things like gold, mineral rights, real estate, invoice factoring, supply chain financing, film & music royalties, and more - all accessible through the familiar crypto native UX that we all know & love.
To help navigate this ever expanding world, we built the Plume Portal.
This will be your home for all things Plume and RWAfi. The Portal provides access to all the latest dApps, different guides to help you explore the ecosystem, and different games like the daily spin to come and earn exciting rewards.
More importantly, the Portal will be your home to keep track of all your points, incentives, balances, and more. Boosts are allocated dynamically in real-time, so check in regularly to discover highlighted projects, optimal rewards, and active campaigns.

Plume Genesis will also mark the start of Season 2 of Plume’s Airdrop. We want to reward all users who want to help bring RWAfi to life, and there will be multiple ways to participate and earn in the Plume ecosystem. Participated in Season 1?

Use ecosystem dApps. Navigate to the Plume Portal to explore different dApps, follow curated guides for boosted points, and interact with features like the Daily Spin for additional rewards. The Portal constantly updates with new earning opportunities – use highlighted dApps, complete curated guides, spin daily, and watch for boosted campaigns to maximize your rewards.
Track everything in one place. Your Portal profile page makes it easy to monitor balances, points, and rewards across the entire ecosystem. By staying active in the Portal, you'll earn real yields while gaining token exposure not just from Plume, but from the entire RWA ecosystem.
Provide liquidity. We’ve partnered with the chads at Royco and Merkl to build a program for liquidity providers, helping users allocate assets across the best markets efficiently. Royco and Merkl will host curated Plume markets that highlight yields across a variety of top RWAfi protocols. If you prefer a more passive approach, you can still easily get exposure to Plume by going to Royco and Merkl, selecting your preferred markets, and letting your assets work for you.
What’s Next
We’re big fans of building in public. Each week we’ll continue to release new dApps, new use cases, and new updates to our infrastructure. While this first phase is focused on RWAfi, each phase following will expand both the breadth and the depth of our ecosystem.
Plume is focused on making the real world accessible onchain. Alongside financial instruments from major asset managers like Apollo and Invesco, we're bringing diverse asset classes onchain – from equities and rare earth metals to yellow cake uranium, tokenized camel farms, durian plantations, and tuk tuk fleets. Wait until people are leverage looping camel farms!
Beyond expanding asset types, we're introducing new financial primitives that unlock capabilities impossible in traditional markets. When we tokenize real world assets, we give them properties and powers they never had before.
We can perform dynamic term transformation – breaking a 6-month private credit loan into millions of pieces with different yields, risk profiles, and durations. We can build dynamic insurance markets where anyone can take either side of any position. And we can mix and match these components to create structured products and indices that were never possible before.
The Plume infrastructure also has some major upgrades in progress. Today, our execution environment is an Arbitrum L2 settling to Ethereum. Through Plume Staking, we're bootstrapping our validator set as we unveil our next upgrade – publicly launching our L1 that is in private testnet right now, that will further scale onchain RWAs while maintaining crypto's core principles: decentralized, trustless, open, and permissionless.
This will lay the foundation for us to scalably bring the entire world onchain and weave RWAs throughout the entirety of the crypto ecosystem. At the center of this will be the PLUME token. Much more to come.
